Dealing with Frustrations – A Tip for Business Owners
Do you ever find yourself swearing at the computer, complaining to your partner, or getting to the end of the day and just being generally miffed?
That person that’s ignored you, the ungrateful person, the one not paying your bills, the other that didn’t turn up, or [name really annoying frustration here].
The question is how are you going to deal with them? They are not going away. In fact, at times they are going to get worse.
My daily job is to help business owners deal with, manage, and reduce the number of frustrations in their businesses.
But if you don’t have a coach or need help between sessions, here’s my tip:
at the end of the day write out all of your frustrations on a notepad. Every single one of them;
label what you can control and what you can’t;
decide what action you are going to take on the ones that you can control.
If this still doesn’t work, reach out to your coach or try an online 15 minute specific meditation.
Then…..get yourself a drink (preferably alcohol), put on some fun music, watch that movie and enjoy the rest of your evening.
These things are a daily part of life but they are not there to rob you of your family and leisure time too.
Switch off and enjoy yourself as much as you can. You’re the only one that does that.
